Union Island hotels - always the right choice
The Anchorage Yacht Club hotel, under French management, is located at the shore of Clifton harbour, Union Island. Accommodation: 15 pleasantly decorated rooms with balconies overlooking the bay and 6 bungalows on the beach with private patio. All the rooms have airconditioning, hot showers, large closets and telephone. The restaurant and bar offer an extensive menu with delightful dishes prepared by the European chef. A live lobster pool is on the premises as well as a pizza oven, pastry and ice cream corner. The Anchorage has one of the best wine lists of the Grenadines. Amenities: free transportation to and from the airport for hotel guests, boutique, usually deserted beach. Union Island has direct flight connections to Barbados, Martinique, Grenada and the rest of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Management staff speaks English, French, Spanish, Italian. Nearby: the Southern Grenadines dive operator is located in Union Island. They can pick you up from the hotel to explore the neighboring reefs of the Tobago Cays and Mayreau. The Big Sand hotel, under Belgian/Vincentian management, is located at the beach of the small peninsula separating Richmond and Belmont Bay , Union Island. Accommodation: 10 apartment style rooms, each with living room, kitchen, separate air conditioned bedroom with double bed, balconies/porches overlooking the bay, bathroom with bath or shower. The beachfront restaurant and bar offer a combination of Belgian/French cuisine with a local Creole touch. Snacks, drinks (including Belgian beer) and picnic lunches can be purchased at the bar all day. Amenities include free transportation to and from the airport for hotel guests, boutique, usually deserted beach, great snorkeling on both sides of the peninsula, good windsurfing in the Windward Bay. Use of snorkeling equipment, canoes, windsurfers, bicycles, games is complimentary for guests. Rooms all come with A/C (bedroom), ceiling fan (living room), hairdryer, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, pre-paid cellular telephone (you'll have to purchase a phone card), cable TV, computer and internet access in room coming soon! Electricity is 220V, 50hz (W-European standard plug, adapters provided). Daily maid service, daily fresh linens. The beach is 5 yards from your room!
