Union Island scuba diving - a reason for your vacation
Reefs flourish everywhere. In addition to the ones you see there are many others. 30 to 40 feet deep. Most reefs are surrounded by white sand which catches the sunlight and makes the underwater colors bright and clear, with panoramas that barely fade in the distance. Most of the dives are relaxing and easy but there are some adventurous dives, too. One is a volcanic valley, 90 feet deep, where the seabed continually bubbles, releasing gases from deep in the earth. A key feature of the Union Island region is the Tobago Cays National Marine Park. The Tobago Cays are a group of small uninhabited islands surrounded by reefs – snorkelling, scuba diving, swimming with the sea turtles are all favourite pastimes of visitors. Entry to the park (for visitors) costs EC$10/person/day – park fees can be paid in Clifton at the Custom's Offices, the Tobago Cays Marine Park office at the waterfront, or in the park itself from park rangers. On a sail or motor yacht diving vacation you will be able to experience the best dive sites that Union Island has to offer. From a private crewed yacht you will sail or motor to spectacular dive sites from ship wrecks to stunning coral reefs in the crystal clear warm Caribbean waters. No worry about crowds, your knowledgeable crew know just where the pristine reefs are for you to enjoy with respect and dignity. Most dive yachts have crew that are at least Dive Masters and many who are Instructors so your scuba diving holiday will be safe, rewarding, and very special. You can learn to SCUBA dive while on vacation in the beautiful Caribbean on a crewed yacht charter. It is the perfect place to do Scuba instruction, with crystal clear water and gorgeous shallow coral reefs. Expert dive instructors will give you personal attention as you sail to many dive sites during your week vacation and practice your dive training with the fish. There are several Scuba courses and certifications available.
